Vintage Gilt Powder Compact, Kigu Party Case

Regular price $450.00

Kigu Ltd. was a British compact manufacturer founded by Victor Kiaschek in 1939 in London.

The brand became famous for high-quality, ornate, and often gold-plated powder compacts, minaudières, and vanity cases.

Kigu's designs were inspired by Art Deco, floral engravings, and mid-century luxury trends.

A typical Kigu Party Case was designed to hold everything a woman needed for a night out: pressed powder compact with a mirror, lipstick holder, cigarette case or card holder, and sometimes a small compartment for money or a dance card.Β

Many wereΒ gilt (gold-plated) or silver-tone, featuring engraved patterns, filigree designs, or even enamel inlays.

Please note all vintage pieces show signs of visible wear. These items are non-refundable.
